If you’ve landed on Playbattlesquare, chances are you’re looking for something more than just another gaming news feed that copies and pastes press releases all day. That’s exactly why we started this.
How It Started
Playbattlesquare wasn’t built by a marketing team sitting in a boardroom deciding “gaming content is trending, let’s jump in.” It started because a small group of us were tired of scrolling through five different sites just to get one solid piece of gaming news, mixed in with ads, pop-ups, and half-written articles.
So we built the place we wished existed.
What You’ll Actually Find Here
We cover the stuff that matters to people who actually play games — not just headlines that sound good for clicks.
- Real news, not rehashed press releases — we dig into what a story actually means for players, not just what a company wants you to hear.
- Reviews with an opinion — we’re not afraid to say a game is overhyped, or that an underrated title deserves your time.
- What’s trending and why — the gaming world moves fast, and we try to explain the “why” behind what’s blowing up.
- Community-first stories — sometimes the best gaming news isn’t from a studio, it’s from the players themselves.
Why We Do This Differently
Most gaming sites today feel the same — same tone, same structure, same recycled takes. We’d rather write something a little rough around the edges but honest than something polished and empty. If a game disappoints us, we’ll say it. If something surprises us, you’ll feel that in how we write about it.
That’s the whole point of Playbattlesquare — writing that sounds like it came from someone who actually plays games, not a content machine.
Who’s Behind This
We’re a small team — writers, gamers, and a couple of people who probably spend more time gaming than they’d like to admit. No big corporate backing, no agenda beyond wanting a gaming site that doesn’t feel like every other one out there.
Want to Write for Us?
If you’re someone who lives and breathes gaming and has an opinion worth sharing, we’re always open to hearing from new voices. Whether it’s a review, a hot take on the industry, or a story from your own gaming experience, we’d love to see what you’ve got. We’re not looking for generic, copy-pasted content — just honest, well-written pieces from people who actually know their stuff. Interested? Reach out to us and let’s talk.
Stick Around
If you’re into honest takes, real gaming updates, and content that doesn’t feel copy-pasted from somewhere else — you’re in the right place. We’re still growing, still figuring some things out, and honestly, that’s part of what makes this fun.
Thanks for stopping by. See you in the next post.
